Hellooooooooooooooo

Good morning. Yet again I'm blog-slacking!

To fill you in - I had to cancel my interview at Bally's because the freakin' gas prices around here have risen so much that unless they paid for my gas (which is not going to happen) I wouldn't even be able to afford to work there. It stinks, it really, really stinks. I am disgusted every time I put gas in my car - absolutely disgusted. I'll hold back on the gas price complaining for you - I'm sure there are plenty of blogs out there with people venting about them.

Things have been going ok around here. I've jumped off the BFL bandwagon & jumped onto my own schedule - similar but different. I'm focusing a lot on my abs (thanks Nico) & really thinking of them as a muscle group - like say my legs & doing several exercises for them - hitting every muscle. My husband thinks I'm crazy because he hates (& never works out) his abs. I think his hurt just watching me! What I forgot about abs is how fun they really are to work out. There are so many exercises for them that I am able (so far) to make every work out at least slightly different - loving it!

I subscribed to Runner's World magazine to get some tips on improving my running since I still consider myself new to it. I'm no distance runner for sure & I want to improve my time & distance so I'm taking full advantage of the mag which is full of advice from actual runners. Plus is super motivating :-)

I'm loving the weather these days - it's beautiful. I'm thrilled that fall is coming but sad that summer is leaving. I do love fall - it's one of my favorite season's - excellent for bike riding & running & it'll be ideal for the days when I want to add in a longer run for the week. I love the beauty of the leaves changing - to see how God gave us the chance to see incredibly beauty before as the seasons change - we take so much for granted - Fall & Spring for me are a reminder to be thankful.

What stinks for me - is when winter hits & the trees look all naked & embarrassed - it makes you feel like you want to throw a huge coat on them! Thanks to the snow though - it covers 'em up - another reminder to be grateful? Yup.

BTW - still loving my TiVo! It's the best thing since sliced bread!! Saw that movie "Million Dollar Baby" last weekend & I hated the ending - just awful. I was fighting not to cry. Man did Hillary Swank look great in that movie.
